6K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the respective department(s) Director and management staff of its subdivisions.
Success in this position contributes to efficiency and effectiveness of department operations.
Essential duties include:
Greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; answers telephone and email correspondence; refers to appropriate personnel; generally the first point of contact.
Receives customer complaints and inquiries; resolves or forwards to appropriate personnel.
Prepares correspondence, memoranda, forms, related invoices, purchase or work orders, reports, and check requisitions as needed.
Prepares agenda and supporting documents for departmental and other requested meetings.
Receives or retrieves, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and shipments.
Organizes and files all departmental correspondence, financial documents, and other departmental significant forms.
Orders office and operating supplies and maintains inventory for the department.
Ensures copier, fax and other related office equipment are in working order and fully stocked each day.
Assist Building Plans Coordinator with permits and plan submittal as needed.
Assists the Tax & License Administrator with new and renewal Business Occupational Tax registration applications.
Assists the Tax & License Administrator with new and renewal Alcohol License applications.
Assists the Tax & License Administrator with excise tax payment processing.
Assists with the Tax & License Administrator Special Event Permit applications.
Researches past and present Planning & Development records and GA Open records Act requests.
Prepares correspondence, memoranda, files, and assists with P&D related events and projects at the request of the Director.
Responsible for compliance with Homeland Security?s e-Verify, S.
A.
V.
E and the Immigration Reform Act.
Responsible for compliance with the Georgia and Federal Bureau of Investigation national fingerprint/biometric-based criminal history check for noncriminal justice purposes.
Serves as a notary for P&D related matters.
Maintains active and inactive P&D files.
Completes various Tax & License reports.
Responsible for running monthly reports for Spalding County Tax Assessor.
Scan files/documents for entry in the P&D share folder.
Assist with day-to-day operations by providing support in handling a variety of tasks.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
